How to turn on and edit reconfirmation emails.

TURN ON RECONFIRMATION EMAILS

Note: This feature is turned off by default. It can be activated from your GXM account. Once enabled, it will automatically send an email 48 hours before a booking and ask guests to confirm their reservations again.

1. From DASHBOARD, go to SETTINGS.

2. Click ADVANCED.

3. Scroll to EMAILS. From the drop-down menu under Reconfirmation, click ON.


EDIT RECONFIRMATION EMAIL TEXT

1. From DASHBOARD, go to SETTINGS.

2. Click EMAILS.

3. Scroll to the Booking Reconfirmation email and click the pencil icon to edit.

4. In the new window, edit the sender name, email, subject and the text body of the email. Note: If you use languages other than English, you must add the translation.


ABOUT RECONFIRMATION EMAILS

When guests receive a reconfirmation email, they have to click on the button to confirm.

The email will look like this:

Once confirmed, the status of the booking on your DASHBOARD will change to CONFIRMED.


Why are reconfirmation emails important for restaurants?

These emails help you reduce the number of No-Show guests. Once this function is enabled, it will automatically send an email to the guest 48 hours before their booking and ask them to confirm their reservation again.
