How to complete or update your KYC verification

Verify your business for card payments and payouts, and update your details or bank account later.

KYC (Know Your Customer) verification confirms that your business is real and allowed to accept card payments. KYC is a legal requirement for every business that takes card payments. Superb's payment partner Adyen runs the KYC check on a secure page hosted by Adyen.

What you need

  • Your company registration details (legal name, registration number, registered address)
  • Personal details of owners, signatories and directors
  • The bank account (IBAN) where payouts should be sent

Complete KYC for the first time

  1. Open the KYC link you receive from Superb during setup.
  2. Enter your business details. The business details must match the official company registry.
  3. Add the decision makers: owners, signatories and directors.
  4. Add the bank account for payouts.
  5. Sign the short PCI questionnaire and accept Adyen's terms.
  6. Submit.

Adyen checks the information automatically. When a manual review is needed, Adyen completes the review within 48 hours. If a document is rejected, for example a photo or a bank statement, you are asked to upload the document again.

What each part of KYC controls

  • Business details: The legal name, registration number and address of the business. Wrong business details block payments.
  • Decision makers: The owners, signatories and directors. Missing or unverified people block payments.
  • Bank account: The IBAN that receives your payouts. Without a verified bank account, no payouts can be sent.

Update your KYC details or bank account

  1. In Partner, go to Settings → Payment.
  2. Click Update KYC-info. Adyen's secure page opens in a new tab.
  3. Change the details you need to update.
  4. Submit.

A new bank account is verified on its own. The rest of the KYC does not need to be repeated. A change to KYC details can sometimes start a new review.

Check your verification status

  1. In Partner, go to Settings → Payment.
  2. Check Receive payment. Allowed means you can accept card payments.
  3. Check Payout. Allowed means payouts can reach your bank account.

You can sometimes accept card payments before the verification is fully complete. Payouts can be held until all checks are approved.
