How to use the waitlist
Add guests to the waitlist, see who is waiting and turn a waitlist entry into a booking.
The waitlist holds guests who want a table when no table is free. A waitlist entry is not a confirmed booking. Staff confirm the entry when a table becomes free.
Add a guest to the waitlist
- Go to Reservations → Waitlist.
- Enter the guest's name, contact details, number of guests and preferred date and time.
- Save.
For a walk-in, the next free time is chosen automatically. Full guest details are not required.
See the waitlist
Waitlist entries are shown in the same reservation view as confirmed bookings. A small red dot marks a waitlist entry.
Confirm a guest from the waitlist
- Go to Reservations → Waitlist.
- Find a guest whose time and number of guests match the free table.
- Contact the guest.
- If the guest accepts, confirm the waitlist entry as a booking.
A cancelled booking does not notify waitlisted guests automatically. Check the waitlist when a table becomes free.
Send large groups to the waitlist automatically
You can set a group size limit. Bookings above the limit go to the waitlist instead of being booked directly. Check that the limit matches your tables.
Good to know
Tell guests clearly that a waitlist entry is not a confirmed table.
