Discover how to set up the menu in the POS app. First, you'll create categories (starters, mains, drinks, desserts, etc.). Then, you'll add products (the food or drink item) to each category.

ADD CATEGORIES

2. In the menu, tap INVENTORY, then CATEGORIES.

3. On the Category page, add the name of the category and the type. Add an image. The image will be shown in the POS app.

4. Tap SAVE CATEGORY.

Note: For your main categories, use No parent under the PARENT CATEGORY field. Once the main categories are saved, they can be seen in the drop-down menu in PARENT CATEGORY.

When creating subcategories, you can choose under which parent category they are placed.

After you've saved both the category and subcategory, they will be visible on the left side of the screen.

ADDING PRODUCTS

2. In the menu, tap INVENTORY, then PRODUCTS.

3. Here, you can add and edit the following

  • NAME the product

  • ADD a PHOTO (not required)

  • Decide on the UNIT and AGE RESTRICTIONS

  • Make sure ACTIVE and OFFLINE are selected

  • Select REQUIRES PREPARATION if you want products to print on your kitchen or bar printer. This way a receipt will print out when you call for them.

  • Tap ADD-ON to add this product to other products you serve. For example, it could be extra tomatoes or rice on the side. These can be add-ons to other items on the menu.

  • SKU is a unique number for the product. Tap the + next to the field and the system will automatically fill it out.

  • PRODUCT ID is generated automatically from the back office once you tap the +.

  • CATEGORIES is where this product is found.

  • In STOCKS, add the amount of the specific product you have in stock at the location(s) you created in the Stock function.

  • PRICING is where you set the cost and retail price as well as VAT. Once you tap the button, tap default and a small window will pop up. Save by tapping OK.

  • In the VARIANTS section, add different variants of the products. For example, different variants of dumplings are shown in the picture above. In the VARIANT field, type in the name of the product. The SKU, STOCK and PRICING remain the same as mentioned before. Use ADD to create more variants of the product. Save all the changes with SAVE PRODUCT.

  • In the ADD-ON PRODUCTS section, choose which add-on products can be added to your main product. For example, this option can be used for side orders of the main course.

ADDING STOCK

2. In the menu, tap INVENTORY, then STOCK.

3. Once you added the DETAILS, tapping STOCK will show you all the products you have as inventory.

4. You can download this information as a PDF or CSV file.
