How to fix a printer error after reinstalling Superb POS
This article explains how to resolve a generic printer error that appears after deleting and reinstalling the Superb POS app.
Symptoms
After reinstalling the Superb POS app, the printer displays an error such as:
"Generic error — one or more fields contains an erroneous value"This is typically caused by the printer connection not being re-established correctly after reinstallation. It is most commonly related to fiscal printing.
Fix the printer error
- Turn the printer off, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on
- Open the Partner portal
- Go to Pos - Printers and verify the printer is listed and connected
- Open the Superb POS app and go to Back Office
- Navigate to Settings - Cloud Printers - Click on the printer you want to edit and make sure the categories you want printed are selected.
- If you want for guest receipts to be printed, toggle on "Print receipts"
