Which printers are supported by Superb POS

Supported Star Micronics, Star CloudPRNT and Epson printer models.

Superb POS uses printers in two ways. Check which one you need before you buy a printer.

  • Cloud printing: Superb sends orders to the printer over the internet. This is used for kitchen and bar tickets.
  • Guest bills: the Superb POS app prints the bill or receipt on a printer next to the register.

Star CloudPRNT models

  • TSP100IV: 80 mm dual interface receipt printer. Ethernet and USB-C / USB-A with Android data and charge, Star CloudPRNT.
  • TSP100IVSK: 80 mm dual interface linerless label printer. Ethernet and USB-C / USB-A with Android data and charge, Star CloudPRNT.
  • mCP21LB: 58 mm front feed receipt printer. Ethernet, USB, Lightning USB, Bluetooth, Star CloudPRNT. Additional USB ports for peripherals.
  • mCP30: 80 mm front feed receipt printer. Ethernet, USB and Star CloudPRNT.
  • mCP31L (discontinued by Star Micronics): 80 mm front feed receipt printer. Ethernet, USB, Lightning USB, Star CloudPRNT. Additional USB ports for peripherals.

These models still work with Superb POS, but Epson has discontinued them.

  • TM-i series: TM-L90-i, TM-T70-i, TM-T82II-i, TM-T83II-i, TM-T88V-i (all with firmware 3.0 or later), TM-T20II-i (firmware 4.3 or later), TM-U220-i
  • TM-DT series: TM-H6000IV-DT, TM-T70II-DT, TM-T88V-DT (software 2.2 or later), TM-T70II-DT2, TM-T88VI-DT2

Printers for guest bills

Star Micronics models

Most Star Micronics printers can print guest bills and all other receipt types.

  • All mC-Print3 models, including Model 3.x and Model 5
  • mC-Print2 thermal receipt printer: compact design
  • mC-Print3 thermal receipt printer: compact, with fast connectivity
  • All TSP models
  • TSP143III thermal receipt printer
  • TSP143IV thermal receipt printer

The most used models in restaurants are the mC-Print3 series and the TSP143 series. The full range is listed at Star Micronics All Products.

Epson models

  • Epson TM-m30 (model m30)
  • Epson TM-T20III (model T20-III)

These two Epson models print guest bills only. They cannot be used for cloud printing. They are supported only in countries where a fiscal printer is not legally required.

Fiscal printers in Italy

Italy is the only market where fiscal printers are legally required, and Italian restaurants use an Epson fiscal printer to issue fiscal receipts. An Epson fiscal printer is a separate device from the Epson TM-m30 and Epson TM-T20III guest receipt printers listed above.
