How to Change Minimum and Maximum Booking Notice


This guide explains how to adjust how close and how far in advance guests can make online bookings.




What is Booking Notice?


Minimum notice: The shortest time before a booking that guests can reserve online (e.g., 2 hours)

Maximum notice: The furthest time in advance that guests can book online (e.g., 90 days)



Changing Booking Notice Settings


  1. Navigate to Settings
  • Go to the top left corner of your dashboard
  • Click Settings


  1. Open Advanced settings
  • Click the Advanced tab


  1. Find booking notice fields
  • Scroll to the Online Bookings section
  • Locate the minimum and maximum notice fields


  1. Update notice times
  • Select your new minimum notice time
  • Select your new maximum notice time


  1. Save changes
  • Scroll down
  • Click Save


Common Use Cases


Minimum Notice
  • Short notice (1-2 hours): For casual dining with flexible capacity
  • Standard notice (4-6 hours): Allows time for preparation
  • Extended notice (24 hours): For fine dining or special events requiring preparation


Maximum Notice
  • 30 days: Standard restaurants with regular turnover
  • 60-90 days: Fine dining or restaurants requiring advance planning
  • 180+ days: Special event venues or high-demand restaurants



Important Notes


Changes take effect immediately after saving

Existing bookings are not affected by the new settings

Consider your preparation time when setting minimum notice

Balance accessibility with planning needs when setting maximum notice
