How to set up basic and custom gift cards

This guide will walk you through setting up and customising gift cards for your business through the partner portal.

You can do a basic gift card template or create a custom template

1. Enable Basic Gift Card Configuration

• Toggle gift cards ON to enable the feature
• Configure gift card amounts (minimum and maximum, both are optional)
• Set gift card expiration (how long they remain valid), available options range from 3 months to 5 years

2. Creating a Custom Template

Start by enabling gift cards:

1. Navigate the Gift cards under Settings (left hand side bar, click Settings and then Gift cards
2. Enable custom design by toggling ON Custom Design. An edit window will appear.

Then proceed to:

1. Choose your language template. You'll see options for English and your preset localised language
2. Select your template and confirm template overwrite
3. Add and modify visual elements such as images, background images or background colours
4. Modify the tone of voice to match your brand if desired
5. Add your booking link to the button OR repeat the gift card code

Include required information

• Gift card code token (each gift card gets a unique code - this is mandatory)
• Restaurant/business address
• Business information
• Expiration date and issue date
• Your logo

Include additional information (optional)

• Your logo
• Browse available tokens you can add to your template
• Not all tokens are legally required, but they provide helpful information
• Add any tokens that enhance your gift card

Last steps

• Confirm image rights: Before saving, confirm that you have the right to use all images and content in your template (required)
• If required tokens are missing, the system will alert you upon saving. Click Fix My Template to automatically add missing required tokens to the bottom. Move these tokens to appropriate locations within your design
• Once all required tokens are included, click Save again

Your custom template is now ready

Preview Your Gift Card

You can test the customer experience of your gift card by clicking Get Preview to download a PDF sample and review how your gift card will appear to customers

Important Notes

• Required tokens must be included - the system will remind you if any are missing
• Check local legal requirements for gift card expiration periods
• Preview before going live - always test how your gift card looks to customers
• You can edit anytime - templates can be modified as often as needed

Your custom gift cards are now ready to offer to customers!
