# Direct Sales - how to make a sale over the counter

**Direct Sales** lets you take **orders and payments** without selecting a table — ideal for **over-the-counter sales**.


### How to Use Direct Sales:

1. **Switch to Direct Sales**: Tap the **4-box icon** in the top dark blue bar, or **swipe left with two fingers** on iPad.
2. A new empty bill screen appears.
3. **Add items** to the bill.
4. **Fire** items that need to be prepared immediately. Items will print when the payment has been made.
