How to close reservations for holiday
This guide explains how to completely close reservations for specific dates, such as holidays or special closures. This type of closure mean waiting list will not be available.
When you close reservations:
- All online bookings are blocked
- Waiting list is NOT available (unlike block reservations)
- Restaurant shows as closed for selected dates
Use for: Holidays, vacation closures, special closing days
How to close reservations
- Navigate to Availability settings (click Settings in the left-hand menu, then Online reservation in the top, and lastly Availability)
- Click Add Closed Date. Scroll to the bottom of availability settings.
- Name the closure: Give it a descriptive name, example "Christmas Closing"
- Select dates: Choose start and end dates, example "December 22 to December 31"
- Close bookings: Select Close all regular reservations, Close all or selected experiences or Choose Close all experiences (ensures everything is closed)
- Click SAVE
- Verify after saving, the restaurant will show as closed for all dates in the selected period on your booking page.

Common use cases
- Holiday closures: Christmas, New Year
- Vacation periods: Annual closure, staff vacation days
- Special events: Private events requiring full closure, renovation or maintenance
- Extra closing days: Additional closure beyond regular weekly closings
