How to cancel a reservation in Partner and on iPad
You can cancel a reservation in two ways: with or without sending a cancellation notification to the guest. This guide explains both methods.
Method 1: Cancel with automatic notification (Quick method)
This is the fastest way to cancel a reservation and automatically notifies the guest.
- Open the reservation by clicking on it
- In the quick preview (available on both iPad and Partner), you'll see the booking statuses
- Click on "Cancel" status
- The reservation will be cancelled and a cancellation notification will be automatically sent to the guest
Send cancellation notification when:
- The guest needs to know their reservation has been cancelled
- You're cancelling due to circumstances beyond your control
- Standard cancellations requested by the guest

Method 2: Cancel without sending notification
Use this method if you need to cancel a reservation but don't want the guest to receive a cancellation email.
- Open the reservation by clicking on it
- Click the "Edit" button
- Scroll down to the status section
- Change the status from its current state (New Booking or Confirmed) to "Cancelled"
- Untick the box that says "Send Email Confirmation"
- Save the changes

The guest will not receive a cancellation notification, and the reservation will be marked as cancelled in your system.
Don't send cancellation notification when:
- The guest has already been informed through other channels
- You're doing internal system cleanup
- The reservation was created in error
